Kort beskrivelse av prosjektet:
The World Health Organization recognizes the importance of informational continuity in promoting integrated, people-centered health services. Currently, much of the necessary health information at the point of care is fragmented and not accessible across the healthcare system.
This dissertation explores a design architecture framework to mitigate the gap between information fragmentation and continuity. This framework aims to facilitate the transition from disparate electronic health record systems to a state where healthcare professionals can access health information whenever and wherever needed, enabling informational continuity.
This project follows an agile, iterative, and practice-based design case study approach consisting of three study phases: context, prototyping, and appropriation. The design architecture framework, based on a scoping review and analysis of health records from patients with mental illness, will facilitate the prototype design. The prototype and the framework are usability tested in the third study phase.
