Workshop: Narrative CVs in grant applications

Workshop: Narrative CVs in grant applications
What are narrative CVs? Why do they matter? What elements should I consider when writing one?

Do you know that the Research Council of Norway (RCN) has recently opted for the ‘flexible narrative CV template developed by UK Research and Innovation’? Do you know that funders across Europe and beyond are increasingly shifting towards narrative CVs in grant applications? Are you unsure of what this means and how you can present your track record in an effective way?

Then come and join us for this interactive workshop where we will 1) present why CVs/track records matter in grant applications; 2) the rationale for this shift towards narrative CVs; and 3) delve into practical examples focused on the RCN and the European Research Council (ERC).

We will combine theory and practice, so you leave this workshop with practical tips and tools. This event is particularly relevant to all staff who are considering applying for a grant application in the future. Early career researchers, including final year PhD candidates, are strongly encouraged to join us. MSCA PF applicants with Nord University as their Host Institution are also very welcome to join.

Presenters: This workshop is a joint collaboration between the Faculty of Education, Arts and Culture (FLU), the Open Science team from the University Library and the Research and Development Division unit (AFU).
