Arctic Six Annual Forum 2026

15–16 October 2026, Nord University will host the Arctic Six Annual Forum in Bodø. The forum brings together members of the Arctic Six alliance for academic discussions, exchange of experiences, and the development of collaborative initiatives across the member universities.

This year's forum places particular emphasis on the new Arctic Six Chairs for the 2026–2028 period. Participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss the Chair projects, explore connections across research environments, and identify opportunities for joint initiatives. Former Chairs will contribute insights and reflections on future collaboration.

The preliminary programme includes academic dialogues within three thematic areas:

  • Governance, security, and infrastructure in transition
  • Climate, environment, and ecosystems
  • Society, communities, and quality of life

The forum will also provide information about upcoming Arctic Six activities, relevant calls for proposals, funding opportunities, and mobility schemes. The aim is to identify shared priorities and agree on concrete next steps for strengthening research collaboration across the alliance.

Date: 15–16 October 2026, from lunch to lunch
Venue: Nord University, Bodø campus
Language: English
Registration deadline: 11 September 2026

The forum is organised by Arctic Six, with Nord University as host.
