We recommend that you complete a demo test before the exam so you can test your computer and become familiar with WISEflow. The demo test ‘FLOWassign’ shows how a home exam/assignment submission will normally take place

    • Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome are the recommended browsers.
    • Home exams are normally written outside of WISEflow and then uploaded. As a student at Nord University, you have access to Office 365, which includes Microsoft Word for writing your assignment.
    • Assignments are often provided in PDF format. Therefore, it’s important that you have a program installed on your computer that can open and read PDF files.
    • Make sure you have a stable internet connection at home. If you are on campus, you can connect to the wireless network (eduroam).
    • Students must log in to WISEflow using their FEIDE account. Make sure your FEIDE account works before the exam. You can test this by logging in to WISEflow or Canvas. If you have any issues with your password, you can create a new one through the Self‑Service Portal.

  • Students are obliged to familiarise themselves with the Guidelines for Examination Candidates.

Please note paragraphs 26-29 Referencing and plagiarism:

    26. Nord University performs plagiarism checks of submitted written works. All aids are generally allowed for submissions. However, it is not allowed to collaborate on individual submissions. Examination candidates must therefore be cautious with discussions about the task text that can result in similarities in content, structure, language, interpretation, and evaluations in the answer. The answer must be designed by the individual candidate alone, and similarity can be an expression of unauthorized collaboration that can be considered as cheating.

    27. When submitting written work, all sources must be stated both in the text itself and in a complete bibliography, unless otherwise specified in the task text. For direct transcripts, it should be clearly marked with indentation and italics or similar, and there should be a source reference with a specified page reference. Information about correct source usage and references can be found here: Citing sources and referencing. Insufficient source references and references can be considered as plagiarism and will be treated as cheating/attempted cheating.

    28. It is stated in the course description whether the exam answer should be answered individually or in a group.

    29. Generating an answer using ChatGPT or similar artificial intelligence and submitting it wholly or partially as one's own answer is considered cheating unless otherwise stated for the specific exam.
