Accounting in changing environments (ACE)
The research group Accounting in Changing Environments (ACE) studies how the design and use of accounting systems can help public, private, and hybrid organizations adapt to rapidly changing institutional environments.
The group’s ambition is to help different stakeholders identify theory-informed solutions to organizational challenges in turbulent environments.
We pursue this through various forms of collaboration with stakeholders, including student projects, action-oriented research, and nationally and internationally funded research and development projects. The research group’s tradition is primarily based on an interpretive approach, using case studies, intervention research, as well as (net)ethnographic and visual studies.
