Associate professor in international relations at the Faculty of social sciences (since 2021).
Member of the division for History, geography and internasjonal relations and co-leader for GEO-Security Research Group.
Holds holds a PhD in political science from UiT - The Arctic University in Tromsø, with a thesis titled: Governance by conference? Actors and agendas in Arctic politics (2021).
Fulbright Fellow for 2025/2026 to Georgetown University, Washington D.C., with the research project U.S.-Norwegian security cooperation amid geopolitical change.
Teaches on the bachelor program in international relations. Course responsible for Introduction to international relations and Norwegian politics and Norway in the world.
Work package leader in the project INFRAPOL - Strengthening Critical Infrastructure Governance for Resilience and Security (2026-2029).
Project member on the project China and the Deep Seas: Implications for Norwegian Maritime Security (2026-2028).
Research interests include foreign and security policy, international politics, small states, governance and the High North/Arctic.
Author of Arctic Governance Through Conferencing. Actors, Agendas and Arenas.
