Laura Elina Suominen Ingulfsvann

I am associate professor in Physical Education and Sport Sciences and I have worked at Nord University since 2017. Prior to my appointment at Nord University, I completed a four-year PhD-fellowship at Sogn og Fjordane University College. My thesis was about children's movement in school and I defended it in autumn 2018. After defending the PhD, I have had two maternal leaves. The recent years, my research interests has focused on self-regulation in the school context, with emphasis on pedagogigal structures and bottom-up strategies. In addition to PhD Sport Sciences/Physical Education and master grade in Sport Sciences, I have continuing and further education in mental training and coaching; special education; and dance, movement and health.
