I have a background from New Zealand and Samoa, which gave me early insight into cultural diversity and different perspectives on health and society.

Building on this foundation, I studied medicine at the University of Otago in New Zealand, where I completed my medical degree and graduated as a doctor in 2008. During my ten-year clinical career, I worked as a physician in New Zealand, Australia, and Sweden.

From 2019 to 2023, I was a PhD candidate at the Regional Competence Service for Work and Mental Health (KAPH) at Nordland Hospital in Bodø, and completed my doctoral education through the Department of Community Medicine at UiT – The Arctic University of Norway.

I am currently employed as an Associate Professor of Health Sciences at Nord University, Campus Bodø.
