About Dr. Piroska Bèki:
Dr. Piroska Béki, born in Budapest in 1974, is a distinguished sports scientist with a PhD in sports sciences from Semmelweis University. Her research spans sports tourism, winter sports, combat sports, and sports sociology. She is actively involved in the Hungarian Sport Science Association, serving as president of the sports tourism subcommittee, and holds memberships in several international sports organizations. A former competitive ski racer and boxer, she now coaches and referees for the women’s national boxing team, with an invitation to the Paris Olympics. In academia, she has held teaching and leadership positions at multiple universities and currently serves as an adjunct professor and acting director at the Institute of Health Development and Sports Sciences. With over 96 publications and extensive experience as a doctoral supervisor, journal reviewer, and thesis consultant, she seamlessly integrates practical expertise with academic scholarship.
