WOMAN. LIFE. FREEDOM. – Stories of Motherhood and Non-Motherhood in Academia

In a world where women’s rights, voices, and freedoms are under threat – whether in Iran, the United States, or within the very corridors of academia – we offer a timely moment for reflection, storytelling, and radical hope.

Researchers, performing artists, and arts educators Runa and Rose share their perspectives through two interwoven presentations:

  • “Stories of Motherhood and Non-Motherhood” – exploring what it means to be (or not be) a mother in arts education, and how storytelling can cultivate spaces of care and reimagine identity and freedom.
  • “38 Minutes of Rage” – a performative and emotional reflection on voice, womanhood, and academia. What does it mean to be heard, to lead, and to hold space in institutions that often sideline women’s lived realities?

This breakfast seminar sparks a wider conversation about WOMAN. LIFE. FREEDOM. – not as slogans, but as lived, complex, and urgent realities within higher education.

The presentation begins at 08:15 and lasts 20–30 minutes.
