The day of the funeral is not an official public holiday. National guidelines allow universities and university colleges to make arrangements for students and staff to follow the funeral broadcast.
At Nord University, no classes will therefore be held between 12:45 and 14:15 on 9 September. Classes scheduled during this period will be cancelled or paused.
Meetings and other activities that can be paused during the funeral will, as far as possible, be put on hold. No noisy work will take place on campus while the funeral is in progress.
Broadcast at all campuses
Nord University will show the funeral broadcast at all its campuses, allowing students and staff to gather and follow the ceremony together.

- Mo i Rana: The cafeteria
- Namsos: Juvika and Glasstunet

One minute of silence
On the day of the funeral, King Harald will be commemorated with one minute of silence across Norway from 13:00 to 13:01. Nord University will observe the minute of silence at all its campuses.
The minute of silence will begin with three chimes from churches across the country. After one minute, three further chimes will mark the end of the silence.
