Entrepreneurship

Since the establishment of the business school, entrepreneurship has been a central research area, and the academic environment has distinguished itself as one of the leading centres for entrepreneurship research both in Norway and internationally. The Entrepreneurship Research Group is dedicated to advancing the understanding of entrepreneurship through excellent research and scholarly activity.

GThe group consists of a diverse team of researchers with expertise in various aspects of entrepreneurship, including start-ups, growth, innovation, and sustainable development. Our goal is to contribute to academic knowledge and practical solutions that can support students, entrepreneurs, and businesses in Norway and internationally.

  • Start-ups and Growth

We investigate the critical factors that influence the establishment and growth of new ventures, including financing, network building, and market strategies. Our studies focus on how entrepreneurs can overcome challenges and achieve sustainable growth.

    Innovation

Our research covers innovation processes, technological development, and how businesses can implement innovative solutions to improve competitiveness. We also examine how innovation can be fostered through collaboration between academia and industry.

    Sustainable Entrepreneurship

We are committed to understanding how entrepreneurship can contribute to sustainable development. This includes research on green technologies, social entrepreneurship, and how businesses can integrate sustainable practices into their operations.

    Entrepreneurship Education

We explore effective methods for teaching entrepreneurship, including pedagogical approaches, course development, and the use of technology in education. The goal is to develop programmes that can inspire and equip future entrepreneurs.

  • We aim to attract more highly qualified researchers and PhD candidates to expand our research capacity and diversify our research areas.

By establishing strong partnerships with businesses and entrepreneurship ecosystems, we can ensure that our research remains relevant and has practical applications.

We seek to increase our participation in international research projects and conferences to promote global knowledge exchange and collaboration.

We aim to develop mechanisms for commercialising research results and supporting the creation of new ventures.

We will focus on research that promotes sustainable entrepreneurship and contributes to addressing global challenges.
