Research Group for Visualisation
Our work sits at the intersection of creative practice, digital technology, and research, using visual storytelling and emerging media to make knowledge more accessible and engaging.
Members of the group work across a broad range of visual formats and technologies, including animation, film, games, motion graphics, virtual and augmented reality, real-time visualisation, and interactive installations. The group brings together researchers and practitioners with backgrounds in creative media production, digital technology, education, and cultural heritage.
Through these projects, the research group investigates how visual media can support communication, learning, cultural engagement, and public understanding of complex topics.
The group also contributes to teaching and student collaboration within Nord University’s creative media programmes, providing opportunities for students to participate in research-informed production and interdisciplinary projects.
