Semester registration
All students at Nord University must register in Studentweb at the start of the semester. You can pay the semester fee and register as a student as soon as you receive your student number. After you have completed payment and registration, you must register for teaching and examinations. You will also be able to access important learning tools and online meeting rooms at Nord University. The deadline for payment and registration is September 1st.
Official opening week of the academic year
Monday, August 10th
1.00 PM - 4.00 PM: "Mørkved puzzle run" by Studentinord. Starts in the courtyard.
4.00 PM – 6.00 PM “Pre-study BBQ". Barbequing, with free food and drinks for all students in the Courtyard
Tuesday, August 11th
11.15 AM - 12 PM: Official opening for the Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture, with dean Mette Sørensen, A5 Petter Thommasen, Main building.
12.30 PM - 1.30 PM: Official opening of the academic year for all students in Bodø (Outside)
Wednesday, August 12th
12.00 PM - 2.00 PM: Opening of the academic year for the Bachelor of Science in Biology, Oscar Sund 2

After you have registered as a student and confirmed which courses you will take, your individual schedule will be available in TimePlan. Please note that the information in TimePlan is not necessarily complete. In addition, information about teaching may be provided in other channels. We encourage you to check Canvas regularly.
Digital learning forms an important part of education at Nord, regardless of mode of delivery. It is important to have the rigtht equipment. All students should have access to:
- PC/Mac/tablet with internet access
- Headset
- Web camera
If you have special needs that affect your learning situation, you can apply for special arrangements in teaching and examinations. Application deadline is September 1st.
