Welcome to a new academic year at Nord University!

All students at Nord University must register in Studentweb at the start of the semester. You can pay the semester fee and register as a student as soon as you receive your student number. After you have completed payment and registration, you must register for teaching and examinations. You will also be able to access important learning tools and online meeting rooms at Nord University. The deadline for payment and registration is September 1st.

    16:00 – 18:00 Pre-study barberque at Røstad Scene. Unformal meet and greet.

    Tuesday, August 11th
    10:00 – 12:00 Welcome at Nylåna, room: NY2.104

    • Introduction to the study program
    • Lunch
      12:30 - 13:00 We walk together to Trønderhallen
      13:00 – 14:00 Official opening of the academic year. Place: The Trønderhallen
      14:00 – 14:30 Meet up with the student buddies. Place: The Trønderhallen

  • In advance of the start of the program, we will send you information about the schedule during the first week, and about what equipment you need to bring, well.

    Before you are registered as a student, you can find information about planned session dates on the study programme page for your course of study.

    After you are registered as a student, you can find information about your teaching in Canvas.

    Use our digital map solution, Mazemap, to find your way at Campus.

  • Read our instructions on finding, purchasing and downloading course literature here. We will hand out our list course literature in middle of august and we will make a common order to the book store during the first week.

  • Information about hiking- and other outdoor equipment will be sent out in advance of the start of the program.

    Digital learning forms an important part of education at Nord, regardless of mode of delivery. It is important to have the right equipment. All students should have access to:

    • PC/Mac/tablet with internet access
    • Headset
    • Web camera
    • Proper software can be downloaded from our software senter
  • If you have special needs that affect your learning situation, you can apply for special arrangements in teaching and examiniations. Application deadline is September 1st.

  • Arriving in Norway: good to know upon arrival at your study destination. Everything from sim cards, bank accounts and groceries to notifying immigration authorities.
