I am a Professor of Organisation and Management at Nord University. My work combines research, teaching, academic leadership, and the supervision of master's and PhD candidates.

My research focuses on organisation and management, leadership, and human resource management, with particular interests in posthumanist perspectives on organisations, multispecies relations, and animal ethics in organisational contexts.

I explore how organisations are shaped not only by human actors but also through interactions among animals, technologies, material environments, and ecosystems. Through this work, I seek to contribute to more ethical, sustainable, and inclusive ways of understanding organisations and management.

Tourism constitutes an important context for much of my research, particularly in Arctic and northern regions. I am interested in sustainability, human–animal relations, and the ways organisations navigate the complex interactions between people, places, environments, and other species. My research examines how these dynamics shape organisational practices, leadership, governance, and policy development.

I currently serve as Programme Coordinator for the Master's programme in Human Resource Management, where I work closely with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality, research-based education. I am committed to creating engaging learning environments and supporting students in their academic and professional development.

Supervision is a central part of my academic work. I supervise master's and PhD candidates and enjoy supporting researchers in developing innovative ideas, strengthening their methodological skills, and successfully completing their research projects.

I am also co-leader of the Arctic Research Group: Environment and Societies (ARISE), an interdisciplinary research group that explores the relationships between environment and society in Arctic regions. Through ARISE, I collaborate with national and international partners on research related to sustainability, posthumanism, human–nature relations, Arctic communities, and societal change.

Through my research, teaching, supervision, and academic leadership, I aim to bridge theory and practice and contribute knowledge that supports responsible and sustainable organisational development in a rapidly changing world.

I teach and supervise students at bachelor's, master's, and PhD levels in the fields of organisation and management, sustainability, tourism, leadership, and research methodology. My teaching is research-based and aims to foster critical thinking, reflexivity, and the ability to connect theoretical perspectives with real-world organisational challenges.

Areas of teaching include:

  • Organisation Theory
  • Human Resource Management (HRM)
  • Strategic HRM
  • Leadership and Organisational Development
  • Learning and Innovation
  • Sustainable Organisations and Responsible Management
  • Research Methods and Academic Writing
  • Qualitative Research Methodology
  • Philosophy of Science
  • Master's Thesis and PhD Supervision

My teaching incorporates contemporary perspectives on organisations, including sustainability, posthumanism, multispecies relations, and ethical considerations in management and organisational practice. I encourage students to engage critically with established assumptions and explore emerging approaches to understanding organisations in a rapidly changing world.

My research explores organisations as complex and evolving networks of relationships among humans, animals, technologies, and environments. Drawing on perspectives from organisation studies, posthumanism, and multispecies research, I investigate how organisational practices, leadership, and management are shaped by interactions that extend beyond the human. A particular focus of my work is animal ethics in organisational contexts and the implications of human–animal relations for responsible and sustainable management. Tourism, particularly in Arctic and northern regions, serves as an important empirical context for my research, enabling the exploration of sustainability, environmental change, community development, and human–animal encounters. As co-leader of the Arctic Research Group: Environment and Societies (ARISE), I collaborate with national and international researchers to advance interdisciplinary knowledge on Arctic societies, sustainability, and the changing relationships between people, places, and more-than-human worlds
